It all started in 1979 in Grenoble, when University Researchers in Applied Mathematics developed world’s first software for automatic nesting and cutting optimization.
Powernest encompasses our 45 years of knowledge and expertise in the development of intelligent algorithms for automatic nesting and placement of complex shapes.
Since then we have been working in close collaboration with manufacturers of cutting machines around the globe to continuously improve the performance of our automatic nesting algorithms to optimize material consumption and to adapt the algorithms to different cutting process.

Apart from its nesting software libraries used by numerous machine-tools manufacturers and software developers in the field of industrial cutting, we develop application software solutions with Almacam range aimed at end-users and machines builders for 2D/3D cutting and sheet-metal working. Since the very beginning, we have been designing and developing innovative solutions to optimize material consumption and machine production capacity. Innovation is at the heart of our business and we always work to offer our customers the most advanced software solutions.
To meet every needs and level of business, we also have developed Nest&Cut, a highly end users 2D web application, fully in SaaS&Cloud model, with a intuitive interface and no installation needed on your computer.
